Recent Grants
The City of Evansville Endowment Fund recently awarded grants totaling $190,000 to 15 nonprofit organizations in Evansville:
Ark Crisis Child Care Center
$5,763 for the purchase and installation of an interior security door
Carver Community Organization
$6,500 to replace the flooring in the Carver Day Care Center
Evansville Association for the Blind
$25,000 to assist with the replacement of the roof above the furniture showroom
Evansville Christian Life Center
$9,500 for the replacement of the wheelchair ramp and steps at the main and kitchen entrances
Evansville Rescue Mission
$10,000 to support the expansion of the female juvenile lock-down unit at the Youth Care Center, specifically for the purchase and installation of lexan-plated windows in six detention cells and for the construction of an office
Habitat for Humanity of Evansville
$20,000 to assist with the rehabilitation of four owner-occupied homes in the Morten Avenue Development area
Holly's House
$16,800 to provide funding for energy efficiency improvements, specifically for the replacement of skylights, water heater, and windows
Indiana Landmarks
$13,000 to support the restoration of the Evansville Greyhound Terminal Building by restoring the glass block windows and repairing the canopy structure
Indiana Teen Challenge-Grace House
$4,655.61 for the purchase and installation of high capacity, energy efficient kitchen and laundry appliances
Koch Family Children's Museum of Evansville
$25,000 to assist with tuckpointing on the east wall of the building and to provide tinting for the second and third floor windows
Lampion Center
$6,722.39 to assist with parking lot renovation, installation of a handicap ramp, and replacement of the hallway carpeting
Media Ministries Dream Center
$15,209 to support facility repairs and renovation
Memorial Community Development Corporation
$10,000 for the replacement of an emergency exit door and flooring in the childcare and an air conditioning unit in the healthcare clinic
NEEDS (Neighborhood Educational Enrichment Development Site)
$1,850 for the purchase of a freezer
United Methodist Youth Home
$20,000 to support the renovation of the Pathways Group Home
