Scholarship Programs

The Community Foundation Alliance and our Community Foundation Members are pleased to administer scholarship funds established by our donors. Scholarships are among the most popular among our donors, who very often say they are inspired by a strong desire to help local students pursue advanced education.

The Alliance and our members administer more than 100 scholarships that awarded more than $230,000 last year to students throughout Southwestern Indiana. These scholarships have been established by individuals, families, businesses, and civic groups wanting to help local students achieve their educational goals. Our scholarship programs are managed locally through by our members with oversight by Alliance staff.

Each scholarship fund has specific eligibility criteria that are defined by donors when fund are established. Some of these criteria are geographical area, financial need, academic record, recommendations, seriousness of purpose, and school and community involvement.

In addition, the Alliance and our members are the local administrators of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program.
