The Marilyn J. Klenck Fund for Education and Literacy recently awarded grants totaling more than $53,000 to 14 nonprofit organizations serving early childhood literacy throughout Southwestern Indiana. Grants were awarded to:

$5,500 to support the Culver Literacy Connections Program

$2,625 to support the Read to Succeed Program

$5,000 to support the School to Home Literacy Program
Evansville Christian School
$2,500 for classroom materials and supplies, teacher resources, and educational games and activities to support the Ready-for-Reading Summer Literacy Program
Lincoln Hills Development Corporation
$4,250 to support Project READ (Read Every Available Day)
North Spencer County School Corporation
$7,465 to support the Seeds for Literacy Growth Program
Otwell Elementary School
$1,500 to support the Full Day Kindergarten Literacy Project

$2,776 to support the Mother Goose on the Loose and the Library Preschool Programs
