Recent Grants

The Marilyn J. Klenck Fund for Education and Literacy recently awarded grants totaling more than $53,000 to 14 nonprofit organizations serving early childhood literacy throughout Southwestern Indiana.  Grants were awarded to:

$10,000 to support the Power of Parenting: Parents as Teachers Program

Cornerstone United Methodist Church Preschool
$1,768 to support the You, Your Child and a Book Program

Culver Family Learning Center
$5,500 to support the Culver Literacy Connections Program

Dubois Pike Warrick EOC (Tri-Cap)
$2,625 to support the Read to Succeed Program

Evansville ARC
$5,000 to support the School to Home Literacy Program

Evansville Christian School
$2,500 for classroom materials and supplies, teacher resources, and educational games and activities to support the Ready-for-Reading Summer Literacy Program

Lincoln Hills Development Corporation
$4,250 to support Project READ (Read Every Available Day)

North Spencer County School Corporation
$7,465 to support the Seeds for Literacy Growth Program

Otwell Elementary School
$1,500 to support the Full Day Kindergarten Literacy Project

Pike County Public Library
$2,776 to support the Mother Goose on the Loose and the Library Preschool Programs

St. Vincent Center for Children & Families
$3,000 to support the Family Literacy Project

The Potter's Wheel
$3,500 to support the Reach Out and Read Program

The Rehabilitation Center (Easter Seals)
$1,860 to support the Enhancing Literacy Program for Children Receiving Speech Therapy

Winslow Elementary School Title 1 Preschool
