Submit a Letter of Inquiry
A Letter of Inquiry is the required first step in submitting funding requests to be considered by the City of Evansville Endowment Fund. The Letter of Inquiry helps in determining whether a funding request qualifies for consideration before the applicant invests time and effort in completing a full grant proposal. Please read all of the information contained on our Grantmaking page before beginning the process of submitting a Letter of Inquiry.
Instructions for Submitting a Letter of Inquiry
Letters of Inquiry should be no more than two type-written pages. Include contact information (name, telephone number, email address) and attach a copy of your organization's IRS determination letter. Submit a Letter of Inquiry that includes the following:
- Project description and need to be addressed.

Description of your organization’s mission and major programs.

Description of how the project fits into your organization’s overall goals and long-range plans.

Expected impact of the project on your organization and the community/target population.

Total cost of the project and the amount of funding requested from the City of Evansville Endowment Fund, including a brief description of how the funds would be used if awarded.

Anticipated timetable for project implementation and completion.
Deadline to Submit a Letter of Inquiry
Letters of Inquiry must be received in the office of the Community Foundation Alliance no later than 5 p.m. on June 15, 2012. If submitting through email, please include a subject line that reads: CEEF LOI Submission. If submitting through the mail, please send to:

Deliberation
Letters of Inquiry will be reviewed by the CEEF grants committee. Subsequently, selected Letter of Inquiry applicants will receive a formal invitation to submit a full grant proposal. Instructions for submitting a full grant proposal are available on our Submit a Grant Proposal page. Full grant proposals are accepted by invitiation only. No lobbying or solicitation of CEEF representatives will be permitted.
